IKARI Cosmetics - Mineral Makeup

IKARI Cosmetics - Mineral Makeup

Hi Loves,

It’s been a while since I shared my favorite beauty products with you, as you know I’m not a product hopper, if I’ve found my favorite beauty routine I’ll stay true to it! Since a year I’m using the skincare products of IKARI Skin Experts and of course that beauty routine hasn’t changed a thing, I just love it! Last month I discovered IKARI Mineral and their new mineral make-up range. This line has no preservatives and all the products have SPF 20.

As you can read in my previously blog post about my IKARI skincare routine you know that I had an acne prone skin, this was a big problem for me and all the traveling didn’t help my skin a lot! So I started my journey to a healthier skin, I’m a year further now, I have undergone some beauty treatments by Carpe Clinic including the Superboost, a Chemical Peeling and the Fractional Laser (blog is coming soon) and my skin has clearly improved a lot. But besides beauty treatments and a good skincare routine it is also important to use the right makeup. So let me give you some more info about IKARI Cosmetics - Mineral Makeup.

Mineral makeup products are deemed as being natural and allow your skin to ‘breathe’. They feel lighter on the skin yet provide plenty of coverage plus commonly, offer a natural SPF. Mineral ingredients won’t clog the pores or aggravate sensitivity in the skin, so are a good option for acne prone skins and those experiencing Rosacea. If you suffer from allergies and just can’t tolerate artificial colours, perfumes or chemicals, maybe mineral is for you! Mature skins love minerals for the light diffusing and illuminating properties too, meaning fine lines appear softened and pigmentation is camouflaged. Mineral makeup is available in all your preferred formulas, including loose powder, pressed powder, liquid, eyeshadows, lipsticks, pencils and mascaras to name a few.

I’m using three products in the mineral make-up range: foundationconcealer and blush. Let’s start with the concealer:

Loose Concealer - colour #1: Your perfect covera

This Loose Concealer gives a great cover and forms a perfect pair with the Loose Base for that radiant look. I apply it to acne, blemishes, … and use under my eyes for an illuminating effect.

Loose Base - colour #4: Your perfect shade of skin

The Loose Base contains the most natural form of minerals, the best quality, silky, lasts long and is easy to apply. It’s a lightweight formula and really provides the coverage you need, I use #4 because I have a rather dark sun-kissed skin. ;)

Loose Blush - Cool #2: Your perfect glow

The Loose Blush contains the purest, natural and pigmented minerals. Ideal as a finish for a radiant look. Very pleasant texture. I apply it to my cheekbones and cheeks, the chin and the nose to contour my face. I use the Loose Blush - Cool #2 because I have a yellowish undertone, if you have a red undertone you can better choose the Warm tint.
