How To Look Well-Rested In 5 Steps ...

Let's talk about beauty routines. I've always been a fan of face cream and a lot of sleep, and of course, I love to put on makeup!

Nobody want's to look tired and everyone combat's aging, it's better to start early with that last one ... So I'm getting personal and want to share my morning and nighttime routine with you and show you how I really cheat to look well-rested, including some of my all-time favorite beauty products.

I have become addicted to !QMS Medicosmetics. Skincare matters and whatever your age you need to take care of your skin, it's after all the largest organ in your body. Looking well-rested starts the night before. According to our body clocks, different body cells are more active at different times of the day. Skin cells do their repair work most effectively at night between 23:00 and 04:00. That's why I'm using a clever moisturizer, the 24H cream of !QMS with a built-in clock. It relaxes your skin in the evening, regenerates during the night and protects during the day.


Step 1: Deep Cleansing

The most important step to a healthy skin is to regularly cleanse. Even if your skin looks clean, it's probably not. It's very important to cleanse your face every morning and every night before bed, especially if you wear makeup or are prone for breakouts. For that, I use the 'Deep Cleansing' of !QMS.

After I removed my makeup I wash and rinse my face with lukewarm water, don't over wash or over exfoliate your skin. When your face is in rebellion, it’s natural you want to attack it with everything you’ve got: acne creams, cleansers, exfoliates. But, you can over do it, which will lead to the exact opposite results you want. Over washing and over exfoliating leads to dryness, irritation, inflammation and even infection.

Step 2: Exfoliant Fluid Peeling

Because I have an oily skin I apply 'Exfoliant Fluid' from !QMS to my cleansed skin,  a unique peeling system of fruit acids and enzymes,  which combine to dissolve dead skin cells and accelerate cellular regeneration. Regular use helps to refine pores and improve the skin to a smoother more radiant complexion. I leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse it with lukewarm water.

Step 3: Freshening Tonic

To achieve an optimum facial cleansing, use the 'Freshening Tonic' after the peeling because it removes all residue and neutralizes the skin's PH level. It's a gentle purifier that balances the skin's natural acid mantle, leaving clean, soft and fresh feeling skin. Apply using a cotton wool pad, it will give you a refreshing skin.

Step 4: Moisturizer 24H Cream

Whatever your age, hydration is vital for the skin. I apply the '24H cream' mornings and evenings to cleansed skin, spread evenly using circular hand motions and gently massage. 

Step 5: Advanced Intensive Eye Care

The skin around the eyes is one of the most delicate on the face. Signs of stress, fatigue, and aging appear here first. That's why I use this silky, soft formulation: 'Advanced Intensive Eye Care'. Ideal for use in the mornings and evenings, it's highly effective in its targeted treatment of fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness. I find that popping on an eye cream it helps my concealer apply and sit way better. Make sure when applying eye cream that you don't apply too much.

An extra tip: keep your skin healthy by eating smart and get plenty of sleep to avoid dark circles, fine lines, dull skin, and other side effects of bad rest. Relax! Even stress can make you break out.
