Welcome to my Lash WonderLand. Today it is National Lash day so we promote the love and need for true and false eyelashes. It is a day we all can honor our lashes.
Eyelashes are a key staple to every makeup look and beauty enthusiast. Lashes have always been known to make your eyes pop and stand out from the crowd. They help keep dirt or substances from entering your eye and aid in preventing infections. Eyelashes also help prevent eye moisture from evaporating. Needless to say, eyelashes are a true necessity for every person at any age.
Eyelash extensions are among those items that instantly boost your confidence with each placement on your natural set. I believe long, luxurious and healthy eyelashes are one beauty dream that many women share. Whether you’re on the search for something that will help enhance your eyelashes or looking for false lashes to help with length and texture. As you know I’m a big fan of false lashes, I have natural long lashes but, I love giving a little extra thickness and length without being obvious.
You want Kim Kardashian-level lashes? Great, but that doesn't mean your eyes can handle them. The type of lashes you can get all depends on the length and strength of your natural lashes, wearing lashes that are too long or too thick for your lashes can actually cause damage in the long run, so you need to make sure your extensions aren't too much longer or thicker than your natural lashes.
When I first got lash extensions, I knew they'd be stand-in for mascara, but I didn't realize that they'd give me the illusion of wearing eyeliner, too. I've never worn a ton of makeup during the day, but I stopped wearing eye makeup altogether since I have my lash extensions. I still feel selfie-ready every second of the day, and feel pretty stellar whether I've just rolled out of bed or gotten back from a run. And, feeling just a bit more put-together during my early morning, barefaced gym sessions is a major perk, too.
Lashes can get tousled when you sleep or get them wet, and they can also pick up debris. So, it's important to gently brush your lashes with a clean, disposable mascara wand when you wake up, after you shower, and at the end of the day, you can use baby shampoo to the lashes for gentle nightly cleanings. It's a myth that you shouldn't wash your lashes.
If the world of false eyelashes is a mystery to you, you've come to the right place. I’m always looking for the perfect salons where they know what they’re doing and place lashes that are safe for your natural lashes. Finding a professional lash artist that puts the health of your lashes first is very important, in my search I found my favorite salon in Vegas ‘Cherry Lash’ and in Antwerp ‘Lasj Antwerp’.
